The innocence that had been a part of her
Swept away when those three words were muttered
To her by a person whose name she couldn't even remember.

"He is dead" turned her world upside down.
She had come bounding down the stairs
In the beautiful white dress she had made herself,
Now with only ribbons left to her,
She dropped all but one flower,
Her fiancee would never return from the raging sea,
For it had swallowed him forever.
